What’s NRM’s game plan following the arrest of their Chairman Kitatta?

Abdallah Kitatta, leader of infamous criminal group Bodaboda 2010 was on Saturday evening arrested in a covert operation by security operatives led by Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI).

The Rubaga NRM Chairperson, who was picked from a lodge in Wakaliga, is accused of masterminding the murdering Case Clinic Accountant Francis Ekalungar a few weeks ago.

Hill Water

On several occasions it has been alleged that the leader of the notorious organized militia has been terrorizing Ugandans with the help of Uganda Police forgetting that he is also a leader in the ruling party and he rubs shoulders with the party’s top honchos which may attribute that he may have been getting his powers from an invisible hand.

As NRM Rubaga Chairperson, Kitatta has been a very instrumental figure as far as the incumbent party is concerned.

During the previous presidential campaigns, he actively took part in the drive to help the party scoop the victory.
Kitatta has also been part and parcel in cracking down opposition uptakes like the Walk to work and Togikwatako campaigns.

One may wonder if his arrest is political or it’s genuine since in the past he has been making more harm than good and no action was leveled against him.

Why now?

According to reliable sources, Kitatta was arrested in connection with the murder of Francis Ekalungar, a Case Clinic Accountant.

Apparently, there’s a video footage circulating on social media where one of Kitatta’s accomplices is confessing at gunpoint to the security officers on how they killed the accountant.

The question is, could there be someone who wants to get rid of this ‘mafia-like’ gang thus framing the members and what is NRM’s game plan since their member is involved?

Will the NRM secretariat come out to own or disown their incarcerated official?

And when you analyze critically you will understand that police’s relationship with Kitatta is because of NRM.
