Senior Commissioner of Police in charge of Construction Estates and Land Management Anna Tusiime has urged police officers from the police fleet management and workshop to embrace hard work and discipline in the force.

The officers also used the function to draw plans for effective service delivery of the forces’ fleet for the year 2018.

“To maintain a fleet it takes efforts that are not cheap. With the challenges that we face, it needs team work, endless efforts and love for the job to make sure that the force is running smoothly”. Said SCP Tusiime.

She added that “I have not heard of an incident where police work has been stuck due to luck of fuel or may be the vehicle is down, your inspiration is building a team that has steered the police force to where it wants to be”.

” We have a big task ahead of us because it seems where we are going we have a lot of work to do and my prayer is that team work you have built should be well kept and directed so that we are able to sail through”. She added

Tusiime also advised the officers to remain disciplined and maximize the few resources available as the force solicits for more resources.

ACP Suleiman Kirungi the Deputy Director Fleet management also commended the officers for hard work, attitude and cooperation exhibited saying that last they received few complaints on the quality of work at the mechanical workshop.

“The success of the security in this country is fleet management. I therefore want to thank you for being dedicated to your service, don’t relax make it better”. Kirungi said.

“Our dream is to be the best workshop in the Country and we expect you to work better than you have been working, those upcountry, specialized units you have worked to the expectations “He added.

The function was attended by drivers, turn men, mechanics, store men and fleet managers.
