Three of the five suspects in Andrew Felix Kaweesi murder case have on Tuesday been released on a cash bail of shs2 million.
The three suspects released include Ahmed Sunfuka who on 7th December, 2017 had been given bail and later re-arrested.
The suspects were ordered to report to their respective Divisional Police Commanders every second Friday of the month.
Last month Grade One Magistrate Noah Sajjabi declined to dismiss charges against 13 suspects in the murder case citing that the offences are capital in nature Nakawa Chief Magistrates Court has no jurisdiction to dismiss the charges.
Kaweesi was gunned down with his bodyguard and driver on March 17 this year as he left his home in Kulambiro. The gunmen made off with his pistol and the escort’s gun.
