Uganda Muslim supreme council has refuted allegations that it used Bodaboda 2010 to beat up people in the scuffle that ensued at masjid noor at William street in Kampala yesterday saying these are said by egocentric seekers.
It should be remembered that fighting brokeout on Wednesday at the mosque when Uganda Muslim supreme council officials led by the Secretary General Hajji Ramadhan mugalu tried to address the Muslims of the mosque about the ownership of the Muslim property but found resistance from the leaders of the tabliqs at the mosque hence fighting.
Speaking to our reporter in his office at Uganda Muslim supreme council ,Old Kampala, Hajji Nsereko mutumba said Abdallah kitatta the leader of 2010 is a Muslim but his followers are not UMSC employees thus asking the accusers to produce evidence that they used the said clique.
Hajji mutumba said that the allegations are false and intending to mislead Muslims.
“We have not hired 2010 to fight William street Muslims and those saying we hired them should produce evidence or go to police and report but we had not gone to forcefully takeover because the mosque is ours,said hajji mutumba”
He further added that its their rights as Muslim leaders to impart a leader like they do to the district kadhis.
