Police in Mubende District have recovered a gun that was allegedly used in the recent murder of an area Petro Uganda manager.
Its believed that The Late Edison Bagyendera’s vehicle was intercepted by two thugs riding on a motorcycle at Kisojjo Village in Kasambya Town Council , shot him dead and ran off with 28 million Uganda Shillings.
The killer gun was found hidden in a passion fruit garden in Kyagalanyi Village in Kasambya Town Council in Mubende District, during a joint operation by police and UPDF on Saturday.
According to SP. Patrick Byaruhanga, the Mubende District Police Commander, five suspects have so far been arrested in connection with the murder. An SMG gun containing 19 bullets was recovered and also managed to recover Shs26 million from one of the suspect’s house.
Police in the area are so certain that they are going to get more useful information from them,”
