Embattled King of Rwenzururu, Charles Wesley Mumbere has cancelled his coronation anniversary ceremony slated for October 19, 2017 citing harsh bail terms slapped on him by the Jinja High Court.

The king said he will not be able to organize his coronation anniversary ceremony because court barred him from stepping his foot in Rwenzori region as one of the bail conditions.

Yuasa

Also his movements were restricted to only three districts of Kampala, Wakiso and Jinja.

Mumbere was in February this year granted bail after spending months behind Luzira Prison cells.

He was arrested in November 2016 following the Kasese clashes which left more than 100 people dead and he was accused of treason, aggravated robbery, and murder among others.
