We have learnt that the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah decided to run away from the contentious Age limit debate to cool off last week’s heat.
Oulanyah who is popularly known for presiding over controversial motions in Parliament has skipped today’s ‘dangerous’ plenary seating and it has been discovered that he left for UK, London on an official duty which was planned three months earlier.
“I am in London and this was planned three months back,” Oulanyah revealed.
Meanwhile, today’s session has been presided over by Speaker Rebecca Kadaga and she has allowed the age limit motion to be tabled on the floor of parliament amidst chaos among MPs.
Now the age limit bill will be tabled by Igara West MP Raphael Magezi as earlier planned by the ruling party MPs.
