The Ministry of Education has revealed that Old Kampala Senior Secondary School is going to be re-opened next week on 26th July, 2017.

Alex Kakooza, the ministry’s permanent secretary said after the unrest the ministry together with Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) constituted a team to establish the causes of the strike and come up with strategies for addressing them; including a roadmap for re-opening the school.

“The team interacted with a number of key stakeholders including a cross section of parents, teachers, students and some members of the public and generated useful information and recommendations. A report has accordingly been finalized and presented to the Ministry of Education and sports for consideration, ” said Kakooza.

He further revealed that all students should report with their parents citing that no student will be allowed back to school without his/her parent or guardian.
