By now, little is known about Makerere university don, Stella Nyanzi’s experience under police hands since her arrest on Friday.

However, her lawyer Nicholas Opio says Nyanzi who could be presented before court on Monday, is ill. Opio says the lady who has been shaking the Ugandan social media in recent weeks, cannot walk properly. According to her lawyer, she’s feeling numb in the lower body. She doesn’t feel her lower body parts.

Nyanzi is likely to be charged for cyber offences, after she allegedly insulted the First Lady Janet and President Museveni.

Nyanzi’s style of activism has raised the debate of sanitary pads which were promised by President Museveni during the campaigns last year but the ministry of education says the government has no money for the expenditure.
