Yesterday during the final send off of slain AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi in Lwengo, IGP Kale Kayihura revealed that police had arrested suspected killers of Kaweesi while trying to cross into DR Congo.
Two suspected murderers are Kwesiga Andrew and Higenyi Aramanzan.
“We have already arrested some suspects connected to the murder of Kaweesi. Even as I was sitting here this morning one of them was arrested while trying to run to Congo (DRC). And we are working together as security agencies are not sleeping.” IGP Kayihura said.
Kaweesi was shot dead last week on Friday along with his bodyguard and driver by unknown assailants just a few meters from his home in Kulambiro.
