The efforts to lift the age cap for the President in the Constitution are underway.
Watchdog listening posts have told us that Kyankwanzi Woman MP Anna Maria Nankabirwa is the lead person in this constitutional amendment.
Nankabirwa has been on the forefront of campaigning for the lifting of age limits, starting from her district, which has passed a resolution in that regard.
The age limit lifting is largely seen as a political ploy to favor Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.
The constitution limits the age of the president of Uganda at 75 years. President Museveni recently made 73 years of age.
