The general secretary of the Uganda Youth Democrats Charles Wasswa has on Thursday morning attacked the Democratic Party president Norbert Mao over youth minister Nakiwala Kiyingi working in Museveni’s government.
The youth leader said Mao should stop fooling the public and admit that Nakiwala is not a DP member as well as other people who left the party and joined NRM.
The UYD boss also regretted that Mukasa Mbidde who sent to EALA was not a DP member given the reception he received from NRM Members.
“Okware Robert, Wasswa Charles, Abo Susan, Stella Kiryowa and Sebwino were called to the party disciplinary committee of whom some are not even active members of the DP.”
Wasswa alleged that Nakiwala Kiyingi was NRM, adding that UYD is not ready to turn DP into NRM.
He said former DP members including Nasser Ntege Sebagala, Lutkumoi, Sebwino Laurence, who joined NRM should never be allowed back.
“It is well clear that Sebagala officially left DP and formed the liberal party. Currently we know him as liberal member,” adds Wasswa.
It is on this note that he cautioned Norbert Mau not to take the party personal by making individual decisions.
