LIST: Rema’s lavish introduction ceremony likely to prove that these local musicians still have a long way to go

Today, November 14 is Rema Namakula’s introduction ceremony and most of the online gossips are already on social media waiting to see how the day unfolds.

Comparison of celebrities in different aspect has always been a ‘thing’ and definitely many online in-laws are already positioned to weigh Rema’s ceremony with other celebrity ceremonies that have happened in the past.

For the record, Rema was the first celebrity to hold an intro-shower and it seemed new to everyone as we all knew only about the baby showers and bridal showers.

Now the big topic of the day is the ‘siri muyembe’ singer’s introduction ceremony and we can’t wait to see the glamour, class, and twists that will put it on record.

Here are some of other weddings that we can’t fail to remember.

1.Bobi Wine

Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine and wife Barbra Itungo Kyagulanyi have lived to serve us all sorts of relationship goals ever since they got married on August 27, 2011.

Their wedding was broadcasted live on most television stations as the public was given a chance to watch the glitz and glamour of their love union.

To make the day much brighter, Bobi also composed a song for his wife dubbed ‘For better for worse’ which still reminds us about that day. Barbie also surprised the guest as she walked down the aisle with a big tattoo of Bobi Wine’s face on her back.

The Kyagulanyi’s wedding was presided over by Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga.

2.Jose Chameleone

June 7 ,2008 was Jose Chameleone aka Joseph Mayanja and Daniella Atim’s big day, and it really left a mark on celebrity weddings.

This wedding was and still is one of the most lavish celebrity weddings we have ever witnessed, as the couple traveled in a private chopper from the church to their wedding reception that was held at Kampala Serena Hotel.

The couple said I DO at St James Catholic Church, Biina and they are now blessed with five children.

3.Rebecca Jingo

Though there relationship failed to work out for long, we can’t fail to remember how big it was.

Rebecca Jingo and ex-husband Joel Isabirye were denied a matrimony at Namirembe Cathedral which they initially wanted, since Isabirye was once married in church. But this didn’t not stop the love birds from going on with their wedding plans as at last they tied a knot through civil marriage.

Isabirye showed ‘cash’ on that day as he hired a chopper to pick up his bride Jingo from a salon where she was dressed to the Registrar of marriage office, and then to the reception. This wedding happened on April 20, 2013.

4. Stecia Mayanja

Though she has has been married many times to several men, we can’t forget her dramatic wedding with Abbas Mubiru. Not just the glamour, but even the drama around this wedding made it worth a talk around town.

Drama started when Stecia Mayanja’s mother went to Vision group begging her daughter not get married to Mubiru ‘on a live interview’. Allegedly out of pressure from her family and co-wives, Stecia fainted and after a few hours the wedding was cancelled, and the next thing we saw was the bride dressed happily in her lavish gown.

These twists and turns were all part of the glamour of the saga that Stecia served us with on March 16, 2015. But we can’t deny the fact that it was one of the best celebrity weddings.

However, after the wedding, Stecia came clean and said that her mother’s statement, the fainting, the wedding cancelling were all staged to prevent ‘someone’ from sabotaging their love union.
