After receiving a heavy criticism from the opposition side for performing at NRM Age limit Victory party in Kiboga on Sunday, Golden Production singer Ronald Mayinja has come out to defend himself over the allegations that he is about to cross to the incumbent party.
The ‘tuli kubukenke’ singer who claims to be belonging to Democratic Party(DP) has revealed that he is a businessman who doesn’t discriminate against his clients.
Mayinja noted that he cannot join NRM though he can’t chase money once called to perform at their events since he earns a living from music.
“I can’t join NRM though I still chase a living through NRM party. I can’t chase money once I’m called to perform at their event because I earn a living from music, that’s my job,” said Mayinja.
Yesterday, DP disowned Mayinja saying that he doesn’t belong to their party.
The party’s Secretary General Gerald Siranda while addressing journalists on Tuesday, said they have crossed checked in the party’s records and Mayinja is listed nowhere as a member.
He said apart from hobnobbing with some party members who were suspended from the party over indiscipline, they don’t know the singer as their member.
