The State Minister for Defence and Veteran Affairs,Hon. Sarah Mateke is dead, a family source has confirmed.
The sad news has been confirmed by the Minister of ICT and National Guidance, Dr. Chris Baryomunsi.
“Am sad to announce the death of Hon Sarah Mateke, Woman MP, Kisoro District and Minister of state for Defence, Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs. May the good Lord comfort the family and rest her soul in eternal peace. Funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course,” he posted on his official X account.
Mateke has also been the Woman MP for Kisoro District.
Previously, she served as the Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs.
