Aviation Police on Friday October 11, 2019 arraigned two suspects before Entebbe magistrate court for possession of cocaine.
The suspects are identified as Choque Condori Emilio, 24 a resident of Rubella Pronvice and Martinez Villarpando Pedro, 22 a farmer and resident of chquisaca both Bolivian Nationals .
The two were arrested earlier this month when they arrived at Entebbe International Airport aboard Ethiopian Airlines from Brazil Via Addis Ababa by our Anti Narcotic drugs staff after they suspected them to be carrying drugs .
They were later taken to aviation Police Station for observation where upon each passed out 100 pellets making a total of 200 pellets of substances suspected to be narcotic drugs .
The 200 pellets had a gross weight of 2914.82gms and preliminary tests indicate Cocaine drug .
The suspects have been charged on two counts of Unlawful possession of narcotic drugs c/s 4(1) and 2(a) of the narcotic drugs and substances control Act 2016 and the trafficking in narcotic drugs c/s 5 of the same Act.
