One person has been arrested in connection with an incident in which two brothers were attacked by unknown assailants in Magezi Cell, Nabuyonga Ward in Northern Division, Mbale on Saturday.
The suspect has been identified as Jorem Wangaire aged 20.
Regional Police spokesperson Suwed Mansur confirmed the arrest saying the suspect will help in investigations.
It is alleged that on Saturday night, the victims; David Cheptoyek an employee of UGAFOD-Mbale branch and Nelson Chepsaniya were waylaid as they returned home from a night out.
Their body parts were cut severely by their attackers.
They were however rushed to Mt Elgon Hospital in critical condition.
The matter has been recorded at the Central Police.
