Kololo High’s Nalukwago Esther in high gear to win this year’s schools intermediate boxing

Nalukwago Esther,a student from Kololo high is in high gear to win this years schools intermediate boxing championship.

Speaking to the press this afternoon after the weigh in,Nalukwago said that her target is to get a gold medal in this championship.

Nalukwago who weighs 56kg , a student of senior Five plays bantam weight.

“I applaud my coach Mr Nelson Ndugwa and team captain Joel Kiwalabye for always pushing us” said Nalukwago

She however urged all students and the public at large to start looking at boxing as a game that can earn them a living.

Over 200 students are expected to participate in this boxing championship both male and female.

The Uganda Boxing Federation President Moses Muhangi thanked all schools and coaches for the joint rendered towards the success of the event

“This is one of the first activities on our calendar and I know the best thing is starting from the grass root. This is it,” Said Muhangi.

The championship is to move on for four good days where after a winner shall be announced in the final battle that shall take place at Partidaa Samaaj temple along Buganda road.
