Museveni promotes 300 UPDF officers

Commander In Chief President Yoweri Museveni has promoted over 300 Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) officers.

Key among the promotions, according to reports Wednesday, has commander of the Special Forces Command (CSFC)Col Don Nabasa and Chief of Military Intelligence Col Abel Kandiho promoted to Brigadier.

Five Brigadiers were promoted to the rank of Major General on the ground of “long dedicated service”, according to army spokesperson Brigadier Richard Karemire.

They include bush war hero Brigadier Stephen Kashaka, Brig Fred Tolit, Brigadier James Ssebagala, Brigadier John Mateka and Brigadier Hussein Ada.
