Presidential Advisor on Media issues Joseph Tamale Mirundi has publicly displayed his hammer which he says is one of his defensive mechanisms against people who are likely to attack him due to his support for the removal of age limit.

During a meeting by NRM cadres in Rubaga municipality on Thursday, Mirundi revealed that the hammer is just an iceberg compared to what he has in store citing that he also has two firearms and he is ready to faceoff with any possible attacker as far as age limit bill is concerned.

Abdul Kitaata, the chairman of NRM in Rubaga also leader of Boda Boda 2010, said it’s high time the NRM members especially those in support of age limit removal start fighting for themselves following the recent threats and embarrassments they have faced in their areas ever since the age limit debate intensified.

Recently, government beefed up security for top MPs pushing for the removal of the contentious age limit cap from the constitution after receiving threats and attacks from their voters and Ugandans at large.
