Famous Faceless government critic Tom Voltaire Okwalinga (TVO)has elevated his struggle to push President Yoweri Museveni out of power through creating an armed resistance wing known as April Revolution Army.
According to TVO, for almost a decade thousands of Ugandans including him have carried on a cyber war against President Museveni and through the struggle they have managed to expose the undemocratic, corrupt and nepotistic nature of the sinking regime.
“FOR ALMOST A DECADE, I, TOGETHER WITH THOUSANDS OF UGANDANS, HAVE CARRIED ON A SUSTAINED CY’BER WARFARE AGAINST THE MUSEVENI DICTATORSHIP,.THROUGH THIS FORM OF STRUGGLE, WE HAVE MANAGED TO EXPOSE THE UNDEMOCRATIC, CORRUPT AND NEPOTISTIC NATURE OF MUSEVENI’S SINKING REGIME. THE CYBER WARFARE MANAGED TO ENLIGHTEN THE PEOPLE OF THEIR RIGHTS, AND EMPOWERED MANY, WHO AS A RESULT DARED TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST BAD GOVERNANCE ,”
TVO has set 27 April, 2017 as the struggle day against the illegitimate regime of Museveni and the armed resistance wing shall carry out operations targeting the president, family members and close associates.
“ON 25TH APRIL 2017, THIS STRUGGLE SHALL BE ENHANCED AND ENFORCED BY THE CREATION OF AN ARMED RESISTANCE WING, WHICH SHALL BE KNOWN AS THE APRIL REVOLUTION ARMY (ARA). THE ARA SHALL CONDUCT AN ARMED STRUGGLE AGAINST THE ILLEGITIMATE REGIME OF YOWERI MUSEVENI, AND SHALL OWN WHATEVER OPERATIONS IT WILL CARRY OUT, AND SHALL TARGET YOWERI MUSEVENI , HIS CLOSE ASSOCIATES AND FAMILY MEMBERS, WHO ARE OPPRESSING THE PEOPLE TOGETHER WITH HIM. ARA SHALL THROUGH ITS OPERATIONS MAKE LIFE UNBEARABE FOR THESE PEOPLE, AND SHALL MAKE THEM AFRAID, THE SAME MANNER THEY HAVE TORMENTED THE PEOPLE OF UGANDA WHO LIVE UNDER INTENSE FEAR. ARA HAS NO CONNECTION OR LINKS WITH ANY POLITICAL PARTY..IT IS A COLLECTION OF BONAFIDE UGANDANS, WHO ARE AGGRIEVED FOR VERY GENUINE REASONS OF BAD GOVERNANCE,”
