Commander Kampala Metropolitan Police CP. Frank Mwesigwa meets with Olympic Committee management team ahead of the KMP Community Policing Sportsgala. Uganda Olympic Committee led by Mr. William Blick has pledged to provide capacity building to the Uganda Police which comes in form of certificate, diploma, degree and masters courses in sports management.

CP. Mwesigwa  highlighted that the KMP Community Policing Sportsgala has already started in all 17 divisions at group levels. The grand finale is slated for 30th April 2017 at Wankulukuku Stadium.

These games are meant to engage the public and police by bridging the unbecoming gap which has for the past years sabotaged the efforts of cubing down the level of crime around Kampala and its surroundings.

CP. Mwesigwa stressed that policing can never be a success unless the people/general public are involved. He stressed that public involvement in police activities helps to build confidence and trust among the people.
