The territorial Police at Jinja road are investigating an incident where a boda boda rider identified as Teba Deo Ibrahim suddenly died on his motorcycle UER 155H on Tuesday at around 11:00 am along the Lugogo by-pass.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire says the incident was reported at Police by locals.
“Police in turn responded at the scene and informed an ambulance team which carefully removed the body and conveyed it to city mortuary mulago,” Owoyesigyire said in a statement on Saturday.
“Relatives of the deceased have however informed Police that the deceased has been epileptic. Some drugs have been recovered from the deceased and are going to be submitted for analysis.”
However, the police mouthpiece says expert investigations to ascertain the exact cause of death are underway.
” We would like to call upon members of the public to remain calm.”
