Son severely injures father for trying to sell family land

Bosco Arinda accused of injuring his father over land

Police in Kabale has in detention a 23 year old man in custody for alleged attempted murdered of the father.

Bosco Arinda cut his father Stephen Munvaneza,65 with a panga.

Munvaneza is a retired reverend.

They both hail from Mukoni village Kitoma parish Rubaya sub county Kabale district.

It’s alleged that on August 21,2019 at around 14:30 hours while the victim was seated with three other people at Bulimba primary school waiting for surveyors to go and survey his land at Nyabigori village same parish, the son emerged with the panga and started cutting him saying the father intended to sell his land.

He was saved by those who were with him and overpowered the suspect hence took both of them to Kabale police station. The victim was rushed to Kabale referral hospital.

Elly Maate, the Kigezi police spokesperson has confirmed the incident.

Inquiries are underway and this case has been registered at Kabale police station under file number SD 74/21/08/2019 .
