Kyadondo East Legislator Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has been spotted at a burial in Bugiri District.

Watchdog Uganda had earlier reported that the singer had gone missing from his residence in Magere, Kyadondo East possibly during the wee hours of Thursday.

And according to sources, Police had launched a search for Bobi Wine, sealed off the Semakokiro Plaza were the singer’s studio is located, but still failed to establish the location of the ‘Ghetto Gladiator’.

But according to a video shared on his social media platform, Bobi Wine claims that he had to attend the burial by all means, and escape was his only way out since Police had heavily deployed at his residence to restrict his movements.

“I had to find a way of attending the burial of our patriotic elder Haji Siraji Samanya Lyavaala in Bugiri. No matter how much the regime tries to keep us apart, we shall always find a way of coming together,” Bobi Wine stated.

Bobi Wine is seen in close company with the Bugiri district Legislator Asuman Basaalirwa at the burial.

Ever since Bobi Wine was sent into house arrest, following his call for demonstration after his Easter Monday Kyarenga Extra concert was cancelled by the Police, Basaalirwa has always been a welcome visitor at Bobi Wine’s residence.

However, Police has not yet issued a formal notice about Bobi Wine’s escape.
