Former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi and current Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda have been chosen to lead the central steering committee for the preparatory efforts to mark this year Uganda Martyrs (Angican) Day celebrations at Namugongo.
The annual event is commemorated every 3rd June of the year.
Rugunda and Mbabazi have been appointed as committee’s chairperson and Vice chairperson respectively.
This year’s Anglican celebrations preparations are being spearheaded by the Dioceses from the Greater Kigezi region.
This steering committee was put together by and with the blessing of the Anglican Bishops from Greater Kigezi region.
