Buganda Royal’s consolation goals came from Stellah Namisango and Precious Najjemba.

The other women encounter witnessed KJT overcome Talented 2-1.

Justine Najjuko grabbed a brace for KJT ladies whilst Aisha Mbabazi was on the mark for Talented.

Under the men, Makindye Sabagabo (MS) Sand Lions humbled debutants Mutoola 6-3 in a one sided match where Rajab Okello scored 4 times.

KIU gritted their teeth to outmuscle Kyadondo Glacticals 5-4 and Buganda Royal University were 4-2 winners against another debutant side Nkumba University.

The St Lawrence – Stafford match was not played because the latter failed to show up on time.

Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) Chairman Deo Mutabazi predicts a tough race ahead.
