Following a failed request by motor mouth social critic Frank Gashumba to NBS TV management to withdraw their defamatory statement against him, Gashumba has decided not to rest the case and now he has ran to High Court Civil Division to fight for his reputation.

Gashumba has filed a defamation case of a whopping shs1.5 billion against the station.

Hill Water

He filed the suit on Thursday morning at the Civil Division which is located on the first floor of Twed towers along Kafu Road, Nakasero, with its registrar Alex Agigi.

After falling out with the station, Gashumba was sent packing from the “The Eagle” show which he had pioneered a few months back.

Few weeks back, Ssisimuka boss came out to defend himself that he was not sacked as it was earlier alleged and he accused NBS management of being used by some people from Buganda Kingdom and Uganda Communication Commission to suppress people like him.

In response NBS came up with a completely contradicting statement alleging that Gashumba was suspended because he allegedly involved himself  in a fraud case against some members of the public.

However, Gashumba declined the claims and he gave NBS 24 hours to rubbish the statement which request the station also declined.

Now he has filed a suit against the station demanding that it pays shs1.5 billion for the damages caused.
