A dozen of companies including financial services providers, manufacturers etc have laid off hundreds of employees, leaving families and relatives at the mercy of God.
Vodafone Uganda is the latest in a string of companies that have laid off their employees as they find the way in a hard and biting economy.
The telecom firm that specializes in 4G data has sent home close to 50 percent of her staff. Among those who have not survived the axe, is the Communications Manager Rukh-Shana Namuyimba.
