The Bishop South Ankole diocese the Rt Rev Nathan Ahimbisibwe has tasked married couples be committed to one another such that they do not give the devil a space to attempt them.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe said that the newly married couples should start their journey of marriage with faithfulness, obedience and trust.
He made the request on Saturday at St Mathews’ Cathedral, Kyamate Ntungamo during the Holy Matrimony of Osbert Asasira and his wife Phiona Akantorana.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe hailed Osbert Asasira for being a down to earth person and blessed the couple to have a good family hinged on God.
Bishop was assisted by Dean the Very Rev Can Joash Tushangyomujuni among other clerics.
Osbert Asasira who has been a pianist at St Matthew’s for many years Cathedral Kyamate is a son to Rev Esau Kashaija of Nyanga Rubaare and Phiona Akantorana is a daughter to Rev Henry Musinguzi of Rukungiri Municipality.
Thereafter the reception was held at Kyamate primary school, where Rev Rev Esau and his wife Peace Kashaija thanked the Bishop Ahimbisibwe for nurturing the Osbert and for being there for them.
Rev Kashaija encouraged his son Osbert and wife Phiona to stick to the marriage vows which were exchanged before the congregants if their marriage is to stay longer.
He hailed fellow clerics and Kyamate Diocese staff for their support towards the success of the wedding party of Osbert and Phiona.
Osbert Asasira and his wife Phiona Akantorana thanked their parents and Bishop Ahimbisibwe for immense support and pledged to oblige to the vows exchanged.
