With all the money he claims to have, socialite Isaac Nduhukire Nasser could not find a better place to hide when the police came calling.
Rather, photos that made rounds on social media, show the 32-year-old ‘money bags’ being guided out of a door vent by the police after he was allegedly caught hiding in a ceiling. This after learning that he is on a wanted criminal list of International Police (Interpol).
And that is the true meaning of falling to grass.
A few days earlier, Nduhukire, who prefers to go by the moniker ‘Don Nasser’ had spent quality time with the Nigerian artiste Mr Eazi.
He then posted on his timeline “Life is too short to worry about what others say or think about you so have fun and give them something to talk about, Mr. Eazi We had a great time.”
Too short that he is currently holed up in police custody after being arrested after scamming an American businessman Johnny Hill of $1.5m in a fake gold trading deal.
According to a video posted by Mr Hill, he met Nasser while on vacation in Kampala in February and presented himself as a gold dealer and proposed an irresistible deal to him.
“I came to Kampala on February 19 my girlfriend and met Don Izo (Nasser) who told me that he had a connection with gold mines. We talked about it and became partners in Business.”
Don Nasser then promised to sell Hill 75 kilogrammes of raw gold which valued at Shs5.5billion.
Hill claimed that he met Don Nasser through Mastula Marscey, the socialite’s girlfriend.
Mastula the daughter of tycoon Mutaasa Kafeero.
“Nasser told me that the suppliers had given him 75Kgs of gold to sell at market price. Nasser told me that taxes and workers had to be paid. Taxes alone were $525,000 (Shs1,955,779,268),” said Hill, adding that he raided his accounts, messed up his credit card, took personal loan and sent money to Nasser through Western Union. In the video, Johnny Hill displays the transactions and printout from the bank.
Weeks after, he waited for the gold delivery in vain.
That’s when Hill realized that he has been duped and reported the matter to FBI and US Embassy.
This incident happened weeks after late AK47’s London-based widow ‘Maggie’ accused Don Nasser for using her as bait to con a Dubai-based business woman of Shs18billion, still through a fake gold trading deal.
During the ceiling raid, he was also allegedly found in possession of fake dollars.
