Mukono Municipality Betty Nambooze has accused government Chief Whip also Kiboga district woman MP Ruth Nankabirwa of calling her stupid for refusing NRM cash to support the controversial age limit bill.
Posting on her Facebook page, Nambooze said on Monday, Nankabirwa tried to intimidate Dokolo District Woman MP Cecilia Ogwal for unknown reasons and when she (Nambooze) tried to intervene, Nankabirwa lashed out at her telling her it was due to her stupidity that she was standing alone and isolated since many wise opposition MPs have already picked cash to support the contentious bill.
Nambooze wrote;
We have reached a level of hopelessness never witnessed before in the history of the country….evil men and women sit in high places and belittle honest and well meaning Ugandans.
Owek.Hon.Ruth Nankabirwa yesterday tried to intimidate Maama Cecilia into silence…for whatever reason the Nrm Chief was blackmailing the old legislator…I couldnt know…but when I told her to stop harassing the old woman she (Nankabirwa) gathered herself up and told me that due to my stupidity I was standing alone and isolated since all the other wise Opposition MPs had picked Nrm cash and where infact supporting lifting the age limit….ofcourse she was lying but the firrmness with which she was telling me these worthless words would make Jesus envy satan….Well these are not days for the faint hearted.
