Just minutes to her organized Press Conference on Friday at Cardinal Nsubuga Training Centre in Nsambya, as usual police again invaded the venue to interrupt Mukono Municipality MP Betty Nambooze’s meeting with the press.

A mini scuffle arose when Kabalagala Police Station OC George Omonyi ordered Nambooze with her DP faction not to bother holding the conference alleging that they didn’t seek permission from police.

However, the discontented members tasked Omonyi to present a letter from the authorities which called for the cancellation of the meeting which task was too hard for officers to fulfill.

By the end of it all, police had no alternative apart from allowing ‘Bad DP’ to carry out its meeting.

During the conference Nambooze revealed that she has agreed to face Party President Norbert Mao in DP’s Disciplinary Committee.

Few days back, Buganda DP Vice President was summoned for a disciplinary hearing on 20 April by Mao for allegedly organizing a conference without his consent citing that it was a sign of misconduct which is against the party constitution.

According to Nambooze, Mao has offered her a great opportunity to expose the bad person in him.

However, she advised Mao that he should prepare a very big venue like Namboole stadium or Wankulukuku since she will be coming with more than 10,000 witnesses starting from Mukono adding that she is going to notify police since she will be moving in a convoy on that very day of facing the disciplinary action.

“Today I would like to inform you that I have agreed to attend the disciplinary hearing on 20th April which shall be chaired by Mao who is the disciplinary committee chairperson and complainant at the same time,” Nambooze revealed.

“But I would like to advise Mao to organize a very big meeting place like Namboole or Wankulukuku because I will be coming with my witnesses who will be more than 10,000,” she added.

Meanwhile, Mao’s DP had pardoned all the other members like Makindye Division Mayor Ali Mulyanyama, singer Ronald Mayinja who had conspired with Nambooze in organizing the halted Buganda DP Conference.

Unfortunately all these members declined the offer insisting that they will have to be charged along with Mukono Municipality MP.

In the same press meeting, Nambooze revealed her future plans which are aimed at rebranding the party’s status and image.

“On 22 April we shall be in Masaka to meet leaders in greater Masaka and we have already got an invitation from Gulu DP leaders,” She said adding, “We shall be engaging DP leaders in the morning and in the afternoon we shall stage public rallies to discuss about national issues,”
