The government of Uganda has been requested to recognize the care workers that provide palliative care.
Among these are the clinical palliative and care officers as said by Dr Dodovico Zirimenya during a press briefing at the headquarters in Makindye.
Dr Zirimenya on this note called upon the public to join them on the fundraising dinner stated to be at Hotel Africana on 16th of December 2016.
The reason for the fundraising is to look for shs20 million that is needed in the west Nile to build a hospice hospital.
According to Dr Rose, Uganda has only one institution that grants diploma in palliative care.. She adds that Mildmay, being the only centre for palliative care is a problem to Uganda.
