The minister for Trade and Industry Amelia Kyambadde has condemned Parliament’s move to close Blue Wave Beverages.
On Wednesday this week, Parliament ordered the closure of the company’s operations over issues related to quality. This was after the Kampala central mp, Muhammad Nsereko confronted a report on the flow of Parliament showing samples of Blue wave bottled water to be contaminated.
However, Kyambadde says the move was uncalled for arguing that the Parliament’s work is to give recommendations and leave the ministry to investigate and approve the quality of any product in question.
She says her ministry has taken samples of Blue Wave water for analysis as the results are expected in a week’s time.
