Teachers at Lwemiyaga Secondary school in Sembabule district have laid down tools protesting the delayed payment of their monthly salaries.
The teachers have threatened not to give out end of term examinations to students which were scheduled to start today.
Teachers’ claim that they have spent six months without getting their salaries and that no reason has been given to them.
The Sembabule District Education Officer, Paul Bwana Nantamu has asked teachers to calm down and return to work adding that he is to meet the school administrators to address their concerns.
